Thousands of Satpol PP Personnel Ready to Guard Jakarta on Eid al-Fitr Holiday

He added that Jakarta Satpol PP has approximately 5,100 personnel deployed throughout Jakarta. They are divided into three shifts to ensure round-the-clock security.

"These personnel will be on duty in shifts. We deploy approximately 1,790 personnel daily to maintain security and order. So, Jakarta is guarded 24/7 by all of them," he said.

According to him, Jakarta Satpol PP is also anticipating potential vulnerabilities during the Eid homecoming period, particularly regarding empty houses abandoned by their owners.

The agency has urged the public to ensure that their homes are safe and to inform their neighbors before leaving.

The Jakarta Satpol PP is also improving the quality of its surveillance through more intensive patrols. According to Satriadi, patrols should not only be conducted by passing the area but also directly ensure the security of the neighborhood.

He emphasized the need to increase the frequency of patrols during the before and after Eid al-Fitr. Previously, patrols were conducted once, but this could be increased to two to three times per monitoring period.

"Patrols must also ensure the security conditions in the surrounding area," he added.

Satriadi added that increased surveillance will also be focused on several locations that are likely to experience a surge in public activity, such as tourist attractions after Eid al-Fitr.

According to him, the presence of Satpol PP personnel at these locations is crucial to ensuring a sense of security and comfort for visitors.
